MedicCleanAir®-ISO concept: the creation of pressure difference in isolation rooms (positive or negative pressure)
Create positive or negative pressure with MedicCleanAir®
The requirements of all isolation rooms are:
- to create a negative or positive pressure within a certain area
- to purify the air that is inside that certain area (isolation room)
- flexibility = ability to change from positive to negative pressure and visa versa if necessary
- to have a minimum of renovation works as possible to create these rooms
- to enjoy the mobility of the system
To comply with the above mentioned requirements, in order to control the ACH of the room, the negative or positive pressure in the room, and to keep the installation mobile, MedicCleanAir uses 2 units:
- 1x MedicCleanAir-ISO (= the stainless steel case + 1 MedicCleanAir Pro Unit)
- 1x MedicCleanAir Pro to clean the air inside the patients room.
Total installation time: ½ day work.
- Both units function independently from each other; the clean room can be kept clean without the interference of the negative or positive pressure, and visa versa.
- The clean room can easily be changed from a negative pressure room to a positive pressure room, if necessary. (change of place of installation = 1 hour work)
- When no negative or positive pressure is required anymore, the unit which becomes available can easily be used in other areas in the hospital. The hole in the wall (high up) is covered by a round cover. (total of 1 hour work)
- The system is kept mobile at all times.
With the MedicCleanAir solution, you are as flexible as can be.
Information:
Air (red arrow) is taken in (extracted from the area) through a tube Ø 20 cm, the air is purified by the MedicCleanAir® Mobile Hepa Unit (minumum HEPA 14) and then returned to the environment
Protective Environment (P.E.) - Positive Pressure - for Immune Compromised Patients (weakened immune-systems)
The air in the patient's room is cleaned by a MedicCleanAir® - Mobile Hepa Unit (minumum HEPA 14) installed opposite the patient's bed to withdraw possible airborne infections away from the patient.
The MedicCleanAir® - ISO creates the positive pressure.
Air is taken from the environment (corridor), cleaned by the Mobile Hepa Unit and blown in to the patient's room, thus creating a positive pressure in the patient's room in relation to the corridor.
The airflow in the room will go from the patient's room to the environment (corridor).
This way, MedicCleanAir® prevents that airborne infections enter the patient's room.
Airborne Infection Isolation (A.I.I.) - Negative Pressure - for Infectious Patients.
The air in the patient's room is cleaned by a MedicCleanAir® - Mobile Hepa Unit (minumum HEPA 14) installed next to the patient's bed to immediately withdraw possible infections arising from the patient.
The MedicCleanAir® -ISO creates the negative pressure.
Air is taken from the patient's room, cleaned by the MedicCleanAir® - Mobile Hepa Unit and blown in to the environment (corridor), thus creating a negative pressure in the patient's room in relation to the corridor.
The airflow will go from the environment (corridor) to the patient's room.
This way, MedicCleanAir prevents that airborne infections (contagious agents) leave the room and enter the corridor (to other rooms/departments)
Total installation time: ½ day work.
